Birth anniversary of His Majesty The Fifth King of Bhutan

We just need a reason to get-together The Bhutanese community in Armidale came together on the evening of February 25 to continue celebrating the birth anniversary of His Majesty The Fifth King of Bhutan, Bhutanese new year and to welcome our new members. His Majesty’s birthday and the new year, one of the many new year celebrations Bhutanese celebrate, actually was on February 21, but since most members were busy that day and our children and youth were busy in school, we decided to celebrate it on weekend. The community also saw and enjoyed our own version of jam session and karaoke, making it a memorable night for everyone. BSA executives thank all members, especially our youth for organising a great event. We also thank BSA patrons and ‘Friends of Bhutan’ for your unwavering and unconditional support. Thanks to UNE Life for the support too 🙏

Bhutan's 115th National day!

Every year on the 17th of December, Bhutan commemorates the coronation of the first king of Bhutan, Ugyen Wangchuck, as the first Druk Gyalpo! It's a time where we gather and have fun with multiple performances and delicious food made by the BSA members.
