UNE Volleyball - Club Programs

UNE Volleyball

QUALITY VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM

Since 2011 the UNE Volleyball club has had a successful focus on building participation in our great sport, from a founding membership of 40 in 2011, we exceeded 250 members in 2018. In 2019 our focus will shift to lifting the skills of any players keen to do so and increasing the number of players participating at higher levels of the sport.
Late in 2018, through the efforts of our current club president (former Australian player Joanne Haynes) in co-operation with State Volleyball NSW we were able to have 6 coaches formally accredited as Volleyball Australia Level 1 (Basic Skills) coaches. They have all received further training and are currently moving towards becoming accredited as Volleyball Australia Level 2 (Talent Development) coaches early this year. Level 2 coaches are qualified to coach representative level teams that participate in State League and Intervarsity competitions and tournaments. With these resources we offer the following skills development programs in 2019 for our members.
