Wright C&V Rugby Club

The Wright College and Village Rugby Club

Description

Wright Rugby is a locally operated Rugby Union side in the NERU competition. With a rich history and strong supporter base Wright Rugby will be re-entering the competition for 2016 after a long period of time on the sidelines!

The college was born in 1952, and due to OHS analysis, was dismantled in 1995. In its early years it was an extremely strong club, with Wallaby Ric How and Ian Proctor playing for them. They remained a competitive force right up to the early nineties and produced Queensland and Wallaby front rower Fletcher Dyson during this period.
