UNE Life - Allyship Training: LGBTI & Intersectionality

This training is provided with support from Respect. Now. Always, UNE Life, and the UNE Ally Network Steering Committee.
Particpation in these sessions is not required to become a UNE Ally - further information about inclusivity training will be released shortly.
However, if you are interested in becoming an Ally at UNE, this is an excellent opporutnity.

Sessions will take place in UNE Life HQ Meetings Room, located in the old Union Arcade adjacent to the UNE Northern Carpark.

1: We have a very comprehensive, LGBTIQ+ specific policies and procedures.

2: We have policies and procedures in place but rarely discussed.

3. We have a diversity policy but yet to develop LGBTIQ+ specific contents.

4. We are yet to discuss LGBTIQ+ inclusive practice in the workplace.

How comfortable are you working with LGBTIQ+ students/members/co-workers? *

1: Very comfortable as I have the knowledge and understanding on LGBTIQ+ inclusive practice and/or consider myself as an ally.

2: Comfortable and I can learn more about being an ally.

3: Fairly comfortable and I can benefit from learning more about inclusive practice (including inclusive communication).

4: Yet to feel comfortable and I aim to improve my practice.
