50th Glorious Victory Day' 2020 Celebration

Bangladesh became independent from Pakistan on December 16 in 1971. The day has greater significance to the Bengali nation due to the fact that after 9 months of bloodshed, the state expressed as an independent country in the world. Since then, Bangladesh has been celebrating the day as “Victory Day” with the highest dignity and joys. It is a national holiday in Bangladesh and widely celebrated throughout the nation. In 2020, Bangladesh is celebrating its 50th Victory Day at home and abroad forfeiting deep tribute to around three million martyrs including students and intellectuals who had laid down their lives for the country during the liberation war. In accordance, Bangladeshi Student of the University of New England (BSAUNE) celebrated the day by showing their deep homage to the father of nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all martyrs including four national leaders, Bir Shrestha (The Most Valiant Hero), Bir Uttam (The Great Valiant Hero), Bir Protik (Symbol of Bravery), Sector Commanders, Freedom fighters, Intellectuals, and Students. In celebration of the 50th glorious of “Victory Day”, BSAUNE arranged a program for tributes to the martyrs of the liberation war, and sports and cultural festivals in the participation of their members (Bangladeshi students of UNE).
